Oderland Museum Bad Freienwalde

Housed in a late baroque aristocratic "Free House" at the market square of Bad Freienwalde, the Oderland Museum displays some of the treasures of its collection . It includes about 30,000 individual objects from prehistory and early history of the Oderland, about the drainage of the Oderbruch region during the 18th century and objects reflecting culture and lifestyle of the inhabitants. The exhibition also informs of the history of the city of Bad Freienwalde. Next to it stands the museum founded in 1889, home to a collection of political documents from the last 150 years, nearly all copies of the regional press since 1849, an extensive image archive and an academic reference library. The Albert-Heyde Foundation operates the museum.
