Museum of the City of Ludwigsfelde

Ludwigsfelde became an industrial location during the 1930s. Daimler Benz AG established a large-scale serial production facility for aircraft engines under the strictest secrecy. After the Second World War, production shifted towards scooters and trucks. Exhibits of the museum include the Daimler Benz aircraft engines (DB 605A), the motor scooters (Pitty, Wiesel, Berlin and Troll) as well as the legendary W50 (and L60). The branch of the concentration camp Ravensbrück in Ludwigsfelde is also touched upon. School classes can explore the museum through various programs dealing with the history of the city and of the industry. The holiday program offers exciting experiences for children.
