Visitors can expect a wealth of information about prehistory, early and city history, crown prince Frederick of Prussia in Ruppin, the history of the Neuruppin épinal prints and the artisan settlement Gildenhall, the life and work of Karl Friedrich Schinkel, Theodor Fontane, of the orient painter Wilhelm Gentz, of the composer and church musician Ferdinand Möhring, the sculptor Max Wiese. Various accompanying events, special exhibitions and showcase exhibitions offer more great reasons for a visit. The museum also takes up current aspects of the city in projects and provides visitors of Neuruppin with a space for discussion and information exchange.
