Film Museum Potsdam

The oldest film museum in Germany in the stables of the former city palace invites visitors to go on a journey through the history of the film studio Babelsberg with its permanent exhibition "Babelsberg - Faces of the City of Film". More than 700 original exhibits, including the bench from "Die Feuerzangenbowle", Paula's T-shirt from "Paul and Paula" or the record from "Sonnenallee" remind of milestones achieved by the film production of UFA, DEFA and today's studios. The museum also organizes attractive specials and family exhibitions from the world of film, cinema experience with the highlights of international film art and silent movies, accompanied by the Welte theater organ. The collections from the Babelsberg Film Studios contain more than a million photographs, film technology, costumes and bequests from famous stars.
