Historia Elstal e.V. Elstal
The Booster Club is committed to preserving the history of the military training ground "Döberitz" and the marshaling yard as well as the architecturally significant "Olympic Village", 18 km from Berlin where the Olympic Games took place in 1936, temporarily housing about 3,500 athletes. The park-like terrain invites visitors to visit the "Porterhouse of Nations" with an elliptical ground plan, 14 of the former 135 residences, sporting grounds as well as the foundations of other buildings which were part of the ensemble. The club organizes exhibitions to present the history of the settlements in the Elstal valley and offers guided tours through the Olympic Village and the marshaling yard.
